Well, we haven't been very good about updating our blog so I thought I'd better get on it! Colden has been growing by leaps and bounds. He's almost 15 pounds now and 10 months old (7 months corrected). We've finally gotten to the point that we almost feel comfortable not keeping such copious notes about his care (how many cc's he eats at every meal, etc.). He's now eating stage 2 baby food - loves his sweet potatoes and especially the mixed fruits! He's still sleeping through the night - but we continue to wake him before we go to bed for one more meal and a diaper change (and some cuddling, of course).
He loves his physical therapists! They come to play every week and have the BEST toys:) Colden gets soooo.... excited every time they come and they love him to pieces. They feel that he's making great progress - he's sitting up very well now (still tips over occasionally), he's starting to pull his knees up under himself & try to crawl but he just hasn't quite figured out how to coordinate all those legs & arms:) He's getting pretty good at scooting backwards but gets a little frustrated because he expects to go forward but it just doesn't work out as planned apparently.
We're almost through the RSV season. It has been extended through April so Colden will get one more visit from the nurse for his shot and then we're done! He likes his nurse - that is until the needle comes out. We're so looking forward to spring so we can finally come out from seclusion and feel comfortable taking Colden out to visit people without worrying so much about him catching something. He has, luckily, only had one little cold but he fought it off like a champ.
We were very lucky to visit with some of our friends from the NICU recently - their little ones are simply adorable and they're always in our thoughts! They'll always hold a special place in our hearts and we can't wait for the boys to get together again (and an excuse for mommies & daddies to get together).
